Alone again, or...

OK, the fish wasn't lonely. I noticed the fish had perked up one evening and thought maybe she was back to normal. Apparently not, as I found her belly-up on the bottom of the tank next morning. It took J several days to notice the tank was empty. Even now he insists she's hiding in the plant.

Recently at the grocery I asked the checker how she was that evening, and she replied "I'm blessed". I told her I was tired.

Also of note: J_'s fish isn't doing too well. She's either very tired or dying. She spends a lot of time close to the bottom of the tank. It seems like she's sleeping, but I don't know a lot about fish and their sleep. Maybe she's lonely.

Wash all my cares away

We got a new washing machine yesterday as the one that came with our place gave out after 30+ years. We got a moderately pricey front-loader. I haven't been this excited about hygeine-related activity since I got that toothbrush last year.

I've found that most of the traffic to this site is from people searching for information on losing a toenail. That is very gratifying. In fact, this page is the #1 result in Yahoo search for "hard crusty toe". I couldn't be more proud of what I've accomplished.
